Academic Counseling

The Counseling & Career Services Office provides programs and services that promote student academic success and enhance personal development with an emphasis on facilitating student enrollment, retention/progression, and graduation.  Services include career planning and placement, counseling, academic testing, adult student services, student disability services, and veterans services.  

Career Planning & Placement:  Choosing a major, help with career decisions, resume & interviewing assistance, career & transfer fairs, job search assistance & online job board

Counseling:  Assistance in resolving personal issues to improve student success, referrals to community resources, mental health information, sexual assault prevention & referrals

Adult Services:  Outreach to prospective adult students and applicants, help with identifing financial resources, childcare options and other services, Adult Student Organization, WIOA information, retention initiatives

Disability Services:  Special needs counseling, eligibility determination of reasonable accommodations, assistive technology

Testing Services:  College placement & graduation exams, academic testing, Pearson VUE Testing Center, HiSET testing

Veterans Services:  Individualized assistance in accessing VA Educational Benefits, School Certifying Offical responsible for enrollment verification
