Spring 2017 Manufacturing Leadership Development Series
OneSource is pleased to announce that the launch of our Manufacturing Leadership Development Series led by Denise Rice has been a big success and will continue through the Spring. This 7 module, 7 week training is rich in content to bring your team to another level in leadership. The next series begins Wednesday March 1st and will run for 7 consecutive weeks. We will hold two classes a day: 8:30 - 11:30am, Cleveland State Main Campus and 1:30 - 4:30pm, Cleveland State Athens Site.

Module 1: Trust, Respect and Credibility
A key component of our Leadership Training Series, this module serves as the foundation for establishing high performing leaders. Credibility is earned through working to gain the trust and respect of your employees each day. The focus of this course is to make leaders aware of their impact on all associates and to provide leaders with the tools required to earn and maintain these three key attributes of leadership.
Module 2: Goal Setting and Execution
All leaders must be able to establish goals and create a vision for how their teams can achieve individual and team goals that are integrated into higher level corporate goals. This session will stress the importance of creating goals that are achievable yet stretch the team to reach higher levels of performance. This session will teach methods to reach both personal and professional goals.
Module 3: Coaching and Mentoring
Today’s leaders must coach and mentor others. Coaching and mentoring comes in multiple forms and both are critical to the success of strengthening your team and building a solid succession plan for key leaders. This area of leadership can become one of the most rewarding parts of any job when properly understood and executed.
Module 4: Team Work and Team Building
Teams are typically comprised of people with diverse ideas and backgrounds and will always outperform individuals when leaders understand how to build these teams and leverage the strengths of all team members. This workshop will encourage participants to explore the different aspects of a team, as well as ways that they can become a top-notch team performer.
Module 5: Emotional Intelligence
Leaders are faced with many situations and must learn to remain calm in the face of adversity and stay sensitive to the needs of direct reports, peers and authority figures. Every member of the team has different strengths, weaknesses and needs. The leader must possess the skills required to communicate and lead. An employee with high emotional intelligence can manage his or her own impulses, communicate with others effectively, manage change well, solve problems, and use humor to build rapport in tense situations.
Module 6: Conflict Resolution
Wherever two or more people come together, there is the possibility of conflict. This course will give participants a six-step process that they can use to modify and resolve conflicts of any size. Participants will also learn crucial conflict resolution skills, including dealing with anger and using the Agreement Frame.
Module 7: Delegating Effectively
“A good leader makes employees feel that are at the very heart of things, not the periphery.” (Warren Bennis, author). It is difficult in the day to day whirlwind to properly delegate and get the results that you are looking for. This module will take you through a step by step process for delegating effectively.
